Analysis of Discipline Construction Based on ESI and Incites—Taking Yancheng Institute of Technoloy as an Example

Abstract: Based on the ESI, Incites and Web of Science databases of the Yancheng Institute of Technology for nearly 11 years (2011—2021), this paper analyzes the status of discipline construction and scientific research competitiveness level of Yancheng Institute of Technology from the data of total number of papers, citation frequency, discipline ranking, contribution degree of secondary college, journal distribution and so on. According to the analysis result, it proposes suggestions on the discipline construction of Yancheng Institute of Technology from the aspects of paper quality, international cooperation, research hotspots, talent introduction and training and so on, so as to provide new ideas for the discipline construction of ESI of Yancheng Institute of Technology.
